1. What is hGH?
Human Growth Hormone is called the 'master hormone' and is produced in the Pituitary Gland. It has more than one target organ but its primary target is the liver, where it causes the formation and release of insulin-like growth factor (IGF). It is responsible for the normal growth process and rejuvenation of all cells in the body through protein synthesis.
2. At what age does our natural production of hGH begin to decrease?
It is very clear that hGH and IGF start to decrease sometime after age 15 - 20 and continue to do so quite rapidly. Although hGH is no longer needed for growth; after reaching adulthood, hGH is essential for many other vital functions, and the significantly lowered levels seen as we age are thought to be correlated with everything from diminished energy to weight gain (fat) to decreased muscle mass and common health disorders.
3. Is hGH replacement safe?
Studies about the use of hGH in adults fail to show any risks or side effects related to the use of Growth Hormone or higher levels of IGF-1. hGH has been proven to be safe and does not interfere with any prescription medications or other supplements.
4. Are there higher risks of cancer with hGH replacement?
In a review article published in the New England Journal of Medicine on October 14, 1999, authored by Mary Lee Vance, M.D. and Nellie Mauras, M.D., after an exhaustive literature search, concluded that "there is at present no evidence that Growth Hormone modulation affects the risk of cancer".
5. Will hGH replacement interfere with any other hormone replacement treatments (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, etc.)?
To the contrary - hGH, as the 'master hormone' has been proven to balance all other natural hormonal systems in the body.
6. Is hGH replacement new?
hGH was first observed in the 1920's, however, it wasn't until the work of Dr. B. Bengtsson and Dr. Daniel Rudman that the value of Growth Hormone in adults was recognized. It was found that Growth Hormone deficient patients had almost a 50% higher rate of death from heart disease than expected. Dr. Bengtsson replaced Growth Hormone in Pituitary deficient patients and achieved excellent results. In a 1990 New England Journal of Medicine article, Dr. Rudman reported on his pioneering experiments with the use of hGH in the elderly. He discovered that their body fat decreased and lean muscle mass, strength, skin thickness, and bone density increased. In other words, he was able to slow down the usual progression of aging by bringing patient's blood IGF levels up to those equivalent to a younger age group. In 1999, the National Institute on Aging completed another landmark study. This was a double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center trial in both men and women with a large number of patients. This study confirmed the benefits of hGH that Dr. Rudman had asserted.
7. How soon are benefits seen?
The first indication of benefits with hGH replacement vary from individual to individual, however, benefits are common in just the first 2 - 4 weeks.
8. How does this product compare to other hGH products?
Rejuvi-Cell Formula contains actual somatotrophin and colostrum from natural sources and contains the highest dosage allowable without a prescription.
9. Can everyone take this product?
We do not recommend insulin-dependant diabetics, individuals diagnosed with cancer, pregnant women, women who are nursing, or individuals on any immuno-supressant drugs use this product.
10. What is Colostrum?
Colostrum is the pre-milk fluid produced from the mother's mammary glands during the first 72 hours after birth. It provides life-supporting immune factors that insure the health and vitality of the newborn.
11. Why should we replace Colostrum?
As we age, we notice it takes us a little longer to fight off a cold or flu, we become more vulnerable to disease and illness. With 'killer bugs' at our doorstep, we need to look to what was designed specifically for the survival of our species. Aging, illness and death occur with the loss of immune factors in our bodies. Medical science has shown in many published reports worldwide that this can be replaced in the human body.
12. How does Colostrum replacement work?
Research has shown that Colostrum has powerful natural immune factors that bring the body to a state of homeostasis -- its powerful, vital natural state of health and well being. Colostrum helps support healthy immune function; it also enables us to resist the harmful effects of pollutants, contaminants and allergens where they attack us.
Clinical research by Dr. David Tyrell, in England, in 1980, revealed that a high percentage of the antibodies and immunoglobulins present in Colostrum are believed not to be absorbed but remain in the intestinal tract. There, immune factors work to support proper immune function and healthy intestinal flora. Other immune factors are believed to be absorbed and distributed to assist in our internal defense processes. It is this combination of action that makes Colostrum so unique and effective as a supplement.
13. Is Colostrum safe?
In India, for thousands of years, Ayurvedic physicians and the spiritual leaders have documented the physical and spiritual health benefits from Colostrum. Scandinavian countries have been making a delicious Colostrum pudding and dessert topped with honey, for hundreds of years. It was used in the US as an early antibiotic that was in much favor until the discovery of penicillin and other antibiotics.
